My main gay and Beloved brother-in-law, Steven Spavento stopped by yesterday to have his picture taken. Check his work on his site here.

Besides his work as an illustrator, he also creates these little plush guys, they will be showcased this week at 186 Orchard street among some other cool kidz including, but not limited to, my gals Virginia Craddock and Charlene “Chuck” Foster. Come check them out! Since It’s open late and there are beverages, you might find yours truly at the bar.

People stoppin’ by/ Kyle Oddson

My old friend Kyle crossed the country from Portland to NYC on a motorbike just to spend last week end with me. This is friendship, isn’t it?

He arrived on friday covered in dust and i took a couple of pictures to celebrate.

I met Kyle a long time ago at photo school in Paris where he was a foreign student. We weren’t really close at the time mainly because of the language problem. A few years later, when i decided to move to NY, i answered this ad on craigslist from a photographer looking for a roomate… Kyle was actually on the other side. And a couple of weeks later, we were moving in a small railroad appartment far away in bushwick.  It was a bit crappy ( see below) but to us, it was a kingdom.

We were poor, living quite a bohemian lifestyle. But it remains one the happiest time of my life.

Even the alternative shower is now a good memory…( see naked Kyle below)
